It was a fairly low-speed warm-up skate, for God’s sake :DD The exact same shit could have happened at your local rink with you, too. There is no toughness in any accident.
Hockey players are clearly the toughest

Darwin Award-winning injury of Taylor Hall, during warm ups against the Blue Jackets. As nhl.com reports: Hall lost an edge and fell to the ice, taking out a teammate, as they headed toward the left corner. Potter tried to clear the two bodies, but ending up connecting with Hall’s head.
“It was a pretty freak accident,” Potter said. “It is just a good thing that [Hall] is OK right now. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a cut that bad, that close before. It was pretty deep and long. It was pretty gross.”

FYI: The Oilers are No.1 in the West and No. 2 in the League —- and by Oilers we pretty much mean these three boys. We smell history?
Hall, Eberle and Nugent-Hopkins… best line in the NHL right now, I think so!!!
