Streit has a distaste for success
The Flyers have announced that they have acquired Islanders captain Mark Streit for a 4th round pick in the 2014 NHL draft and prospect Shane Harper.Flyers GM Paul Holmgren said in a statement, “Mark is a player we would have had interest in on July 5th. We now have exclusive negotiating rights and we are hopeful that we can get an agreement in place prior to him becoming an unrestricted free agent.”
The Islanders had previously said that Streit was not going to return.
Harper, 23, is a RW who played 70 games in the AHL last season and had 13 goals and 14 assists.
